The importance of drinking clean and filtered water and why it may be disrupting your hormone levels.

The water is causing a massive health crisis, and you may not know that.
Most of us know tap water is not clean enough to be safe to drink, but do you know how much it can disrupt your hormones?
Water safety and quality are fundamental to human development and well-being. Besides the pathogenic risk of microbes, several chemical contaminants present in water can impose risks to human and non-human animal health. Humans can be exposed to these compounds by ingesting, inhaling, or dermal contact with contaminated water. Some major chemicals known as water contaminants are endocrine disrupting chemicals such as disinfection byproducts, fluorinated substances, bisphenols, phthalates, pesticides, and natural and synthetic estrogens. Exposure to these compounds is associated with adverse health and reproductive outcomes in non-human animals and humans; thus, the presence of these chemicals in water has become a public health concern.
Studies have shown that the contaminants present in water can impair development and fertility, imbalance hormones, and lead to low fertility. Pesticides have been detected in drinking water sources, and some of these compounds are known reproductive toxicants. For example, exposure to some pesticides is associated with low sperm count and adverse pregnancy outcomes in humans and animals.
So these previous studies have shown that chemical contaminants in surface and drinking water worldwide can negatively influence humans and animals' fertility and reproductive capacity.
There is also a website you can check the quality of the tap water from your city in the USA, and it has shown, for example, in LA has been found more than 30 carcinogens in tap water at levels much higher than considered safe. Check it out at https://www.ewg.org/tapwater.
Remember your health start with your choices, be aware of what you're putting in your body. Try to make the best decisions for yourself.
